Earlier this year at the Chicago Auto Show, Kelley Blue Book named the winners of its annual 5-Year Cost to Own Awards. The 2019 Nissan Armada claimed a victory in the Best Full-Size SUV Crossover segment.
Why is this important? This award signifies that over the first five years, the 2019 Nissan Armada is the most affordable full-size SUV to own based on upkeep costs, like maintenance and fuel.
“Spacious and versatile, with near-Infiniti levels of luxury, the 2019 Nissan Armada also boasts the lowest predicted 5-Year Cost to Own in its class,” Kelley Blue Book writes. “The Armada rides on a proven, rugged foundation, which contributes to this SUV’s durability. The Nissan Armada offers comfortable eight-passenger seating, can tow up to 8,500 pounds and has legit off-road chops.”
The 2019 Armada is available here at Pischke Nissan across four trims: SV, SL, Platinum, and Platinum Reserve. No matter which option you choose, your new Armada will take its power from a hearty 5.6-liter V8, towing up to 8,500 pounds and cranking out 390 horsepower and 394 lb-ft of torque.
KBB was very impressed with the power under the hood but also by the roomy interior and advanced technologies, including safety systems like Intelligent Forward Collision Warning and Automatic Emergency Braking.
The impressive 2019 Nissan Armada value makes it one of the most popular models in Nissan’s current lineup. Check it out at Pischke Nissan.
Last month, Nissan unveiled the all-new 2019 Nissan Pathfinder Rock Creek Edition alongside the 2020 Rogue Sport compact crossover at the 2019 Chicago Auto Show. This special-edition Pathfinder stands out with unique exterior and interior treatments that cost an extra $995. The package is available on SV and SL trims.
“The Rock Creek Edition name was chosen to connect to Pathfinder’s family outdoor adventure-minded target customers. The Rock Creek Edition name also connects to Pathfinder’s proud rugged heritage,” explained Scott Shirley, vice president of CMM & Marketing Operations for Nissan North America, as he presented the special edition.
What makes the Rock Creek Edition stand out from regular 2019 Pathfinders?
It bears many exterior enhancements. You’ll notice black molded overfenders, black front and rear fascia accents, a black mesh grille, black door handles and outside rearview mirrors, black roof rails, and package-specific “Rock Creek” badging on the Pathfinder’s front doors. It rides on special dark 18-inch wheels, wrapped in 255/60R18 all-season tires.
All Pathfinder Rock Creeks get a standard trailer tow hitch, harness, and splash guards. The 2019 Nissan Pathfinder Rock Creek Edition can tow up to 6,000 pounds — that’s a best-in-class rate.
Inside, the 2019 Pathfinder Rock Creek Edition benefits from high-contrast stitching for the door, steering wheel, seats, and console lid; Rock Creek Edition two-tone seating surfaces and badging; and a premium metallic interior trim.

The crossover and SUV market continues to grow in the United States because of the versatility, efficiency, style, and power they offer. Nissan offers six unique crossovers and SUVs in its current lineup.
Not sure if a crossover or SUV is right for you? These are just some of the advantages of driving a crossover or SUV:
- Fuel economy: Advances in engine technology have made crossovers and SUVs, particularly the compact models, highly efficient. Some crossovers are even more efficient than sedans of similar sizes. The new Nissan Kicks, for example, achieves up to 36 miles per gallon.*
- All-wheel drive: Most crossovers and SUVs are available, if not standard, with all-wheel drive. This provides increased stability in any kind of road and weather conditions.
- Interior space: Crossovers and SUVs are some of the roomiest vehicles on the market. Even the more compact crossovers boast incredible leg room and head room compared to sedans. Nissan’s largest SUV, the 2018 Nissan Armada, offers up to 171.1 cubic feet of cargo capacity and has unique storage solutions like underfloor storage and an available power liftgate.
- Power: Crossovers and SUVs offer spirited performance on- and off-road. In fact, the Nissan Armada can tow up to 8,500 pounds.
Of course, once you decide to buy a crossover or SUV, you need to decide on which one you want. Come on in to Pischke Nissan, and we will be happy to help you choose.
